Invoice Control

Whenever you ship your goods with a transporter, you should be charged costs according to your Transporter Agreements.

However, there are two problems with this:

• The agreements are often really difficult to understand and require a lot of logistics experience
• Invoices are often in formats that are difficult to interpret, and it is a notoriously difficult and time-consuming task to compare these invoices against the applicable agreements

Add to that the enormous amounts of money the invoices often concern, and you can start to understand why many companies have one or more people employed full-time just to make sure the invoices are correct.
