How to set your tracking preferences

This page covers how you can set your tracking preferences in Skrym.

Automatic Archival of Shipments

If, for any reason, we do not receive events for a shipment for a long time, we support automatic archival of shipments after a specified period of inactivity. Once archived, we will stop polling the transporter for new events. However, if we receive an event for an archived shipment via a webhook or our API, we will still handle it as usual. This is useful if, for example, a test order slipped into production or if a shipment was canceled without us being notified.

This feature is opt-in and can be enabled in Skrym Icon With BackgroundScope. You can set the number of days of inactivity after which a shipment should be archived.

Shipment and Parcel-Level Tracking Preferences

Certain transporters use references at both the shipment and parcel levels. To make setup easier, we allow you to configure which type of reference you send.

If you use a parcel-level tracking reference, we will ensure that the parcel has the reference and use it for tracking. We will attempt to update the shipment with the correct tracking reference once we receive that information from the transporter.

To configure this, go to Skrym Icon With BackgroundScope and select which reference you want to use for each transporter. Then, simply send the tracking reference as usual, and we will handle the rest.
