Besides calculating emissions as accurately as possible, we must also do so with the greatest possible degree of transparency regarding data sources. To facilitate this, we associate a verification_tag to each organization vehicle.
Whether we consider the data to be verified or not depends on where we have obtained the data from. If we have received the data directly from the organization, we consider it to be VERIFIED.
If we have obtained the data from a third party, we consider it to be INDIRECTLY_VERIFIED. Any other data is considered to be UNVERIFIED.
Updating Vehicle Data
Since there is a clear hierarchy in the verification tags, we follow that hierarchy when updating vehicle data.
VERIFIED data: is only to be updated with new VERIFIED data.
INDIRECTLY_VERIFIED data: is to be updated with new VERIFIED data or new INDIRECTLY_VERIFIED data.
UNVERIFIED data: is to be updated with any new data.
Organizational Level Verification
We assess the reliability of each organization by evaluating their vehicle verification status. This is done by calculating the proportion of vehicles that are either directly or indirectly verified.
An organization is considered 'verified' when this proportion meets or exceeds a certain threshold. This robust verification process ensures high standards of service and reliability.
In practical terms, this means that during a delivery checkout, Skrym offers the option to display a verified badge for organizations that meet the verification threshold.
